Einstellbericht Messerschmitt Me 210 GI+SQ 2 pages The twin-engined Messerschmitt destroyer aircraft Me 210, serial 210013 (Prototype no. 13) was testflown at the Messerschmitt plant at Augsburg. This report from September 19th, 1941 gives all ruder adjustments and flap movements used during this flight. It is a good example of how accurate all testpilots of the Luftwaffe or companies had to report every flight made. At this time, nearly three month after the Wehrmacht invaded the Sovietunion, new aircraft are desperately needed by the Luftwaffe. The Me 210 was intended as the successor to the Messerschmitt Bf 110. Pressed into production without throroughly testing (different from what this document seems to show), hundreds of produced fuselages had to be scrapped, because the Me 210 was not stable in flight and the tail tends to flutter.
